Sudanese Children Heart Society is a charity group (Nongovernmental Organization) established in May 2012 and registered at the Sudanese Ministry of Social Affairs (Registration number 3482).

General Objective

Supporting children with heart disease and their families, Recruiting social and financial help to children with heart disease and help establishing services for children with heart disease in Sudan.

Sudan was nominated to be part of the WHO-EMRO RHD Expert Network:
In 2018 WHO nominated 2 Sudanese RHD experts: Prof Sulafa Ali and Dr.Ahmed Elsayed to be members of its regional expert committee for RHD. The RHD-Logocommittee met in Jordan in Dec 2019

Sudan’s Sulafa Ali was awarded the Kuwait State Prize from WHO:
Regional WHO office (EMRO) awarded this prize to Prof Sulafa Ali :

Kuwait State Prize for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention (2019)
Recognizing the establishment of RHD control program in Sudan.
